CourtRecord WA / Law firms

Find the firm. Then find the lawyers.

Compare public court records, charging-method disclosures, costs transparency, and the progress of complaints. A firm's real court win rate must come from verified firm-at-the-time appearances—not simply the current employers of individual lawyers.

What is independently verified? Lawyer-to-firm associations shown here are initial directory links and may be historical or subject to change. Court decision counts concern the individual lawyers' indexed decisions. Until the actual instructing firm is verified in each judgment, no firm win percentage is published. Public complaints also require independent checking, notice and a fair response process.

Firm not listed yet? This is an initial verified research index, not every law firm in Western Australia. You can still start a complaint record and enter any other firm or lawyer. To verify a practitioner's primary law practice, use the official practitioner register ↗. We will add firms only as their identities and practice connections are checked.

Statutory scale or hourly rates? Don't guess.

For each firm we want to record whether it has offered to act on the applicable costs determination, what its written hourly rates and minimum billing units are, what fixed or task-based terms it offers, and whether it explains each option in writing. A lawyer's ability to charge under an agreed method is not the same as a commitment to accept scale fees for a new client.

Status: No firm's current pricing policy has yet been independently verified in this directory. “Not verified” means unknown—not that the firm refuses statutory-scale work.

Complaints: track resolution, not just closure

The independent tracker lets a consumer record what the Board said, when a lawyer responded, whether six specific questions were actually answered, and whether the complainant feels the outcome resolved the problem.

Public firm statistics: Not yet independently collected or validated. An unsubstantiated complaint is not a misconduct finding. The future publication process will include complainant consent, anonymisation, a review of evidence and a right of response. Only qualifying unresolved matters would appear as consumer-reported unresolved complaints, clearly labelled as distinct from disciplinary findings.
